OUR TUTORIAL SCHOOL
Our Tutorial School was established in 1999 and employs only well-qualified Tutors. We interview all our Tutors in depth, check references carefully and for those not registered with the General Teaching Council we require Disclosure Scotland checks. All Tutors are graduates or equivalent.
Most Tuors are very experienced; some, however, find their vocation in teaching through a first experience as a tutor and we are proud of the fact that around eight of our Tutors so far have moved on to formal training and are now working as full-time teachers.
Tuition is available from our friendly Tutors individually or in small groups. Most children and young people find that an hour a week quickly builds confidence and brings better results at school. Tuition in most subjects, at all stages, with most demand at Primary and Higher levels.
You can be sure that all our Tutors know the Scottish education system well and in particular, as appropriate, 5-14 guidelines and exam syllabi and requirements.
FEES -
£24 per hour at primary level
£26 per hour at secondary level
£30 per hour for Advanced Higher
Discounts for Group Tuition.
Music: normally £26 per hour (1/2 hr lessons @ £13) but may vary
STAFF VACANCIES
The Tutorial School is regularly overwhelmed by demand. We should like to improve our service but can only do so by employing lots of wonderful new Tutors! We are therefore URGENTLY LOOKING FOR TUTORS in all subjects, especially Secondary ENGLISH, MATHS, SCIENCE.
MUSIC INSTRUMENTAL TUITION is a growing field and there is occasional demand for English as a second language.
